About this Collection
Bioinformatics, data science education and training play essential roles in meeting the demand for computational and analytical skills among life science researchers, increasing computer and data literacy, and enabling discoveries from modern ‘omics-driven research. This collection is dedicated to publishing content (e.g., papers, slides, posters, reports or other documents) relating to bioinformatics and data science training and education. We warmly encourage members of the community to share their work here.

The collection advisors are all members of the Global Organisation for Bioinformatics Learning, Education and Training (GOBLET).

This collection also features abstracts from the 1st Colloquium on Bioinformatics Learning, Education and Training (CoBLET2022) that took place between 11-14th October 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The theme of this session was “Bioinformatics Training and Education: Charting the Path Ahead” and featured keynote talks by distinguished local and international luminaries in the field of bioinformatics and an on-site interactive session on the Past, Present & Future of Bioinformatics Education in Turkiye led by RSG-Turkiye among other events.

The major tracks covered at COBLET were:
