About Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in Game Development and Design

Games are immersive storytelling media which influence society and modern culture. Games are also a powerful tool for self-expression, and create a sense of belonging. To ensure that we are using the full potential and capacity of this impactful form of media, in an inclusive and accessible manner, we must consider what elements are needed in order to establish and foster true diversity, inclusion, and equity. Achieving this requires collaborative and proactive effort.

This collection invites contributions from a variety of scientific communities, from Game Development and Design to Gender Studies and Social Research. This collection welcomes submission of research articles, case studies, brief reports, policy briefs, method articles, reviews, and opinion articles.
