Precision and genomics medicine is driven by the paradigm shift of empowering clinicians to predict the most appropriate course of action for patients with complex diseases and to improve routine medical and public health practice. The rightful use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) approaches can accelerate our ability to leverage and extend the information contained within original, integrated, heterogeneous, high-volume multi-omics and healthcare data. We require innovative and intelligent solutions to advance precision and genomics medicine such as creating new models of medicine where physicians use clinical decision support systems based on AI/ML to choose the best treatment for a patient guided by the genomics variants that each of us have.
In this special collection, we invite relevant high-quality original articles including but not limited to Software Tool Articles, Method Articles, Research Articles and Reviews for transparent peer review and publication at the F1000Research. We are interested in promoting excellent research based on standard bioinformatics and novel AI/ML methodologies driven towards the utilization of within multi-omics, genomics, healthcare, claims, and longitudinal data for predictive analysis and personalized treatments.
